George Peabody Funeral Photo Gallery

George Peabody died November 4, 1869 in London. Because of his generosity to the poor of London, his funeral was first held in Westminster Abbey where he was buried for a month before beginning the long journey home. He was buried at Harmony Grove cemetery on February 8, 1870.
